This week's Edmonds-Woodway athlete of the week is senior cross-country runner Ciaran Brennan.

As the senior captain, Brennan has turned in a strong season on the course. This past week in the Edmonds School District Invite, Brennan finished 5th among runners. Brennan will compete over the next two weekends in the Wesco and District 1 races with the hope of qualifying for the state tournament next month.

Coach David Whalen adds, "Ciaran has had a great senior season and is an outstanding person as well. He has great leadership qualities, which have a positive effect on our whole cross-country program. I can't wait to see how he performs in the next two meets."
