Cascadia College hosts 'Intersections' free public show

"Hyperbolic Honeycom" by Henry Segerman and Roice Nelson

The Cascadia College Art Gallery in Bothell hosts a free public art show that showcases the intersection of art and mathematics.

"Intersections = Math + Art: Showing our Work" will open May 9 at the college's Möbius Hall, 18428 Campus Way NE. An artists' reception is noon to 2 p.m. May 12.

Artists featured are Monique Catino's Geometric Structures; Timea Tihanyi, interdisciplinary visual artist and ceramist; Claire B Jones' computer-generated interactive 3-D models of stitched sculptures using photogrammetry; and Henry Segerman's mathematical and typographical art of various dimensions....
