UPDATE: Edmonds officer leaves behind wife, 2 young children

UPDATE: Police Officer Tyler Steffins, stabbed to death Saturday while off-duty in Las Vegas, leaves behind a wife and two elementary-age children. His family lives in south Snohomish County. Steffins was 33.

Police Chief Michelle Bennett was among those who spoke Monday afternoon at a news conference.

According to Sgt. Josh McClure, Steffins is the first Edmonds police officer killed while on-duty or off-duty.
