Ballard, anyone? Kirkland?

That's just two of the printable thoughts no doubt in the minds of Edmonds residents who for years have pushed to keep downtown Edmonds unique to the area. That is, quaint and speaking to its charm as one of Snohomish County's oldest cities.

On that point, residents and tourists seem to agree.

But if you know the rules and have enough money, there's always a way to get what you want.
