Although there have been many blessings this year, the coronavirus and its variants continue to change the way we live. Here, in the second part of our annual review, are just a few of the stories the Beacon reported on in 2021 – the good, the bad, and the ugly – from July through December.


Edmonds residents hit the beaches, parks, hotels during heatwave

Edmonds resident Robert Calhoun decided to take a mini-vacation from the heat this past weekend, which peaked on Monday with desert-like temperatures hovering close to 100 with little or no breeze.
