Tree lighting draws a crowd in Edmonds – and Santa

The annual Tree Lighting Ceremony at Centennial Plaza in Edmonds drew a large crowd to witness an annual tradition that unofficially kicks off the holiday season.

It included appearances by Santa and Emily the Elf. The Maplewood Middle school jazz band and North Sound Singers provided music, and vendors provided hot cider and other treats.

In the spirit of giving and community, organizations gathered donated items from those attending.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony, which is put on by the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce, was sponsored by Certa Farrish Law Group.
