Certificated teachers in the Edmonds School District will receive a 2% increase in pay this fall as part of a collective bargaining agreement between the district's board of directors and the Edmonds Education Association, the teachers union.
The agreement means a starting teacher with a bachelor's degree will earn just under $70,000 a year, the highest in the state.
The agreement also calls for a $1,250 increase in each step of their salary schedules.
The two sides also agreed on working conditions for in-person and remote teaching and salary for the 2021-22 school year.
