Meadowdale Beach Park closed for construction through fall

Aim: To restore salmon habitat; new railroad bridge; improved access

Snohomish County has begun construction for the Meadowdale Beach Park and Estuary Restoration Project at Meadowdale Beach County Park.

That means the park through the fall. Estimated completion is spring 2022.

The project will restore a historic 1.3-acre estuary that will provide essential rearing habitat for ESA-listed salmon as well as cutthroat trout and restore nearshore processes key to Puget Sound recovery.

While the project began on June 15, heavy truck traffic began July 15 along 75th Place West and 76th Avenue West, and continues through October.
