An Edmonds icon in bright spring

It was spring of last year when sketched the North Sound Church on Bell Street.

Trees and plants were just beginning to bud.

The late afternoon sun lit up the bright white of the building, which was echoed in the picket fence running from my viewpoint.

A springtime scene feels appropriate now, as our churches are starting to reopen in a sort of rebirth post-COVID.

I have never been inside the structure but I can imagine those amber panes of glass must give a warm glow within.
