Earth Day is April 24th, a good time to help make the environment around us a bit better. There are lots of ways we can take action in honor of the day.
One is to spend the day attacking our foreign plant invaders and replacing them with locals.
Native plants benefit the environment in several ways. Our local animal ecosystem has adapted to them. This wildlife includes mammals, as well as important pollinators like birds, bees, and butterflies.
It also consists of a large array of underground organisms, small and smaller, that promote soil health.
