I live in Edmonds and use a motorized wheelchair. I rely on public transit because that's the only way I can travel with my wheelchair – it's too big to fit in my car. I like to be able to move around my community and Seattle and enjoy the area I live in.
But there are so many barriers for me to be able to get around.
I wish every street had sidewalks. And I wish that buses ran at more frequent intervals, so I wouldn't get stuck waiting as long. As a wheelchair user, this is a particular issue, as there is only space for two chairs in the accessible space in the bus.
