After months of inaction due to the COVID pandemic, Edmonds Petanque Club members are again able to enjoy the Edmonds Civic Playfield petanque courts, while observing strict social distancing guidelines. Signs explaining the detailed rules are posted at all courts.

Games are limited to a maximum of four players. Everyone wears a mask. Players contact only their personal equipment, and no participants come closer than six feet to each other.

The response has been immediate and popular. On the first Sunday of reopened play, all four petanque courts were in use by more than 25 players during the course of the afternoon.

Club meetings are Wednesdays and Sundays at 1:30 p.m. and Saturday mornings at 10 a.m.
