Edmonds Arts Festival canceled for first time

The Edmonds Arts Festival, pictured in June 2019, has been canceled for the first time.

The Edmonds Arts Festival and Foundation have announced that the June 2020 Edmonds Arts Festival and associated events have been canceled, due to the coronavirus pandemic, to assure the health and safety of community members, artists, volunteers, visitors, and schoolchildren.

The festival, held at the Frances Anderson Center, is consistently one of the city's most popular events and is usually held Father's Day weekend.

"This was a difficult decision for our board members, who put in countless hours all year round to produce the festival," said festival president, Barbara Norgaard Reid.
