The pump is on Dayton Street between Admiral Way and Railroad Avenue. It will pump water pooled to the east and force it west into Puget Sound.
Flooding on and around Dayton Street and SR 104 in Edmonds has been a problem in the past for businesses and commuters, but a new pump has potential to eliminate those problems, said Public Works and Utilities Director Phil Williams.
