Property taxes increase by almost 8% for 2020

Assessor puts average home value in Edmonds at $635K

Typical Edmonds homeowners will see their property taxes increase $423 in 2020, mostly due to changes in education levies and in spite of City Council voting not to raise property taxes, as it also did in 2018.

The average property tax bill in Edmonds is $5,893, up from $5,470 in 2018.

According to the Snohomish County Assessor's Office, the 7.7% increase in Edmonds is based on an average residential home value of $635,300 for 2020, up from $594,300 in 2019 and $527,900 in 2018. The average residence value in 2017 was $474,800.
