We're sorry to report the passing of a colorful icon, Steve "Yellow Van" Bell.

He was 77, and was well-known for watching trains and people parked on the bluff at Sunset Avenue.

Bell was also part of a regular get-together group at Church Key Pub.

The Beacon is working on a story for the next issue, and is interested in those who'd like to comment.
