Cascadia Art Museum in Edmonds has 3 new exhibits

Cascadia Art Museum has three new exhibits that debuted Jan. 17.

“Painters of the Northwest: Impressionism to Modernism, 1900-1940”

Focusing on a variety of early modern artists active primarily in Washington and Oregon, this exhibition presents works featured in the recent publication of the same name written by Cascadia Art Museum board member John Impert.

“Portraits and Self-portraits by Northwest Artists; 1910-2018”

This extended exhibition focuses on the varied approaches Northwest artists have used to portray themselves or other people to document and immortalize noted historical figures, as well as important figures in their personal lives and in the Northwest cultural community.

”Northwest Sculpture: Five Decades of Form and Innovation Part III”

Returning for the third year with a brand new collection of sculpture. Featured is a selection of rare sculpture by major Northwest artists covering the decades of 1920s-1960s.

Artists working in wood, plaster, marble and bronze include Everett DuPen, Stephen Dunthorne, and Marvin Herard.

Cascadia Art Museum is at 190 Sunset Ave., Edmonds. Admission is $10, $7 seniors and free for those up to age 18.
