Second quarter woes sink Warriors against Falcons | Football

A young Edmonds-Woodway team stayed right with 4A state runner-up Woodinville for the first quarter and a half.

But the Falcons knocked out starting quarterback Read Carr early in the second quarter and closed with three touchdowns in the final four minutes to beat the Warriors 34-7 in a nonconference football game Thursday, Sept. 13, at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell.

“The first quarter and a half were pretty good,” Edmonds-Woodway coach John Gradwohl said. “We were right there. Read got knocked out and that set us back. … A good team took advantage of our mistakes.”
