Resource fair focuses on youth mental health


With suicide rates for youth in Snohomish County among the highest in the state, Snohomish County Human Services is hosting a new kind of resource fair.

The county’s first-ever Children & Youth Mental Wellness Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Evergreen Middle School. Admission is free.

“Mental health has such a huge stigma that we need to work together as a community to overcome,” said Liza Patchen-Short, children’s mental health liaison for Snohomish County Human Services and event manager.
