Pat

“Everyone that met her loved her because she loved everyone she met.”

Our beloved matriarch Pat was born in Salt Lake City in April 1930. From there, she and her family traveled a great deal until they settled in Bremerton. In April 1948 she moved to the territory of Alaska to marry the fellow she met at a local dance and fell in love with, Ray Quick (1926-1992).

During their years together, they had two children, Lynn and Kreg. As a family, they moved from Alaska to South Dakota and back to Washington. They enjoyed traveling and continued to do so well into retirement.

After working at Seafirst Bank for 25 years, Pat retired and volunteered at the Country Boutique gift shop in the Edmonds Senior Center until she retired, again, at 80 years.

Pat is survived by her brother, Gerald Purdum (93); both children, five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In her 91 years, she touched the lives of thousands. She offered her heart to any who needed a friend, a family, a smile, a good word, or a scrubbie.

Pat will be missed by this world, but will continue spreading her signature joy in the next.

Her memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
