Posted

Donald F. Rowe, 93, of Snohomish passed away peacefully in his home on April 29. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Rowe, his children – Debbie (Bob) Burkhardt, Lori Austin, Jim (Annette) Rowe, and Patrick Rowe, along with ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Born on July 6, 1930, in Everett to Frank and Irene Rowe, Don led a remarkable life. After serving in the Korean War as an Army cook, he pursued a career with the Burlington Northern Railroad, eventually becoming a respected yard master. Don met his beloved wife, Pat, in 1956, and they shared 67 beautiful years together.

Don’s craftsmanship as a cabinet maker and home builder brought joy to many. Don loved to golf and was a big fan of football; he especially enjoyed watching the Seahawks play on Sundays. A dedicated member of St. Michael Parish, Don’s faith was unwavering. His family could always look forward to a meaningful blessing before each meal.

He was known for his volunteer work at the community soup kitchen, infectious laugh, strong values, and profound love for his family. Don’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though deeply missed, his wisdom, generosity, and love will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched.

A funeral mass and reception to be on May 8 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Snohomish.
