Jill-Ellen Fisher was an incredibly kind and bright spirit who had a fantastic sense of humor. An avid reader of mystery books, she loved crafts, karaoke, and listening to Elton John, Bon Jovi, and Nine Inch Nails. She showed tremendous strength in her fight against cancer.
Her beloved husband Steven Fisher, described her as his angel, and stayed by her bedside until the end. She was originally from Rhode Island, a state that always held a special place in her heart, and it was there that she met her close friend since childhood, Dawn, who was like a sister to her. She held a paralegal degree, and when she arrived in the Seattle area she did excellent work at Virginia Mason hospital.
Jill spent her last days with her husband, her sister-in-law Angie, Angie's husband Brian, her close friend Destiny, her mother-in-law Patti, and her nieces Ellie, Teresa, and Sara, as well as her stuffed animals, including Slothie.
She became the first honorary patient at the new oncology department at the UW Northwest hospital, where she was surrounded by a loving family of devoted nurses, including Ilema, Emily, Alex, Sara Mae, Ricardo, and many others who grieved her passing. She adored her two cats, Haiku and Sasha, and wanted donations to cat rescue organizations in her memory.
She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Carolyn Tracey, stepfather Ronald Tracey, and father Kenneth Ferguson. She is survived by her sisters Christine Larson (David) and Jacquelyn Oakes (Ryan).
She was taken far too soon and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
