Annette Elaine Kennedy: 1947-2026

Posted

Annette was born on July 15, 1947, in Enterprise, Oregon, to parents Floyd and Elinor Kennedy. She spent her childhood in Joseph, Oregon, surrounded by a cherished extended family and classmates who would become life-long friends.

Her hometown remained a special place to her throughout her life and she visited often. After graduating from Joseph High School in 1965 and Eastern Oregon University in 1971, she lived primarily in the Tri-Cities and Woodinville.

Everywhere she lived, she made a beautiful home for her two daughters. She spent her time in many creative pursuits: basket weaving, calligraphy, sewing and fiber arts, gardening, and singing in church choirs. She also enjoyed her work as an educator in the Richland School District. She married twice, but was proud of the independence she found late in life as she created a home of her own in Edmonds.

She passed away peacefully on March 2 in the home she loved. Annette is survived by her siblings, Joan Hendrickson (Bryan) and Tom Kennedy (Sandy), and leaves behind a loving legacy in her daughters, Elizabeth Anderson and Sarah Baker, and six grandchildren.
