Andrea Marie Rowe-Chergwin: 1951-2025

Posted

Andrea Marie Rowe-Chergwin, 73, of Mountlake Terrace passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 22, at her home. She was born in Seattle on December 3, 1951 to David and Jean Stephens. The eldest of three, Andrea graduated from Meadowdale HS in 1970 and attended both Edmonds CC and the University of Washington with focuses in law and social work.

In addition to her work in those fields, she was also a talented bartender and fan favorite at "the Dome" and other Seattle venues for over 30 years. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she had the biggest heart, and when you met her you felt it instantly. She was fierce (boy, was she fierce), loyal, and unbelievably strong.

Even as a 3-time cancer survivor, she always put her loved ones first, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She leaves behind her husband, Kevin Chergwin; two daughters, Danielle (Todd) Baldwin and Brianna (Josh) Label, and their father, Greg Rowe; four grandchildren, Mackenzie Baldwin, Sloane Baldwin, Leighton Label and Eli Label; two nephews, Kyle and Bryton Stephens, as well as many extended family and dear friends.

Family, friends and others whose lives Andrea touched are invited to a celebration of Andrea's life at Brightwater Center in Bothell on Saturday, March 22, from 1-4 p.m. Inurnment will be at Floral Hills Cemetery, Lynnwood. Arrangements entrusted to Purdy & Walters at Floral Hills, Lynnwood.

In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Mary's Place Seattle, ACLU of Washington, or UW School of Social Work Students First Endowment in Andrea's name to continue her legacy of advocacy and altruism.
