Marie "Arlene" Wingender: 1936–2023

Arlene passed away peacefully on July 23, 2023, at age 87 in Edmonds..

Arlene was born in Eastern Washington in the small farming town of Oakesdale. She married Robert H. Wingender on November 12,1955; they were married 45 years and raised six children together.

Arlene was an avid gardener and participated in local fairs and markets selling her fruits and vegetables. She was known around town as the "Tomato Lady" and had several articles written about her in the local papers. Arlene also enjoyed crafting things and started a business with a friend making and selling stuffed animals, Easter and Christmas decorations, tea cozies, pot holders and many other kitchen items.

Surviving family members include: Coleen Ariana Rehm, Karen Marie Ghramm, Mark Robin Wingender, Gail Teresa Scofield, Patrick Brian Wingender and Lisa Ann Thompson. Survivors also include eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband on May 14, 2000.

The service and interment will be private.
