Gail Marie Smith died on May 26, 2023. She was born in Sedro-Woolley on Nov. 16, 1937.

She is survived by her son, David Bennett (Shelma), and granddaughter, Jacklyn Bennett. She was the widow of Stuart H. Smith, and they both resided in Edmonds and then later in Wenatchee.

She was an adventurous person with many hobbies and passions. She was a world traveler, skier, dancer, gardener, and chef. Remembrances can be made to the nonprofit SAGE advocacy center or the Humane Society of Wenatchee.
