Local vehicle license fee could double for Edmonds residents

Washington law allows city or county governments to create transportation benefit districts and impose an additional vehicle registration fee to fund local transportation projects.

That fee in Edmonds has been $20 since 2009.

Perhaps you might update this article before the 18th, to include the link to to appropriate City Council meeting, a link to show what Lynnwood has done with their funds, and the current rules on public comment on this measure. For example, will this proposal be introduced at this week's meeting and then voted on immediately, or at a subsequent meeting. Thank you. Adding details like this will enhance public engagement and allow additional Edmonds residents the opportunity to weigh in.
