Timothy Bowen: 1975-2023

Posted

It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy John Bowen, age 47 years old, on Jan. 28, 2023. Tim was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to all he came across in life.

Tim was known for his zest for life. He was a devoted father of one, and his son was his #1 in life. There wasn't much he said no to. His sense of adventure took him on many fun outings with his son, family, and friends, including fishing trips, camping, snowboarding, wakeboarding, concerts, basketball, and more.

Tim was a talented guitar player with a deep love for music. His kind and caring heart was evident through his donations to charities he was passionate about supporting.

Tim will be remembered for his immense devotion as a father, his tremendous love for family and friends, his charisma, his joy from the holidays, ability to talk to anyone, his love for sports, and dogs too, including many Labrador Retrievers.

Tim was a huge fan of Gonzaga and Duke basketball, and of the Seahawks and Washington Huskies football. Tim also volunteered a ton of time as a youth sports coach and was a youth basketball referee, too.

Tim had an illustrious career as a financial adviser and passed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exam, an exceptional accomplishment. He worked for the FDIC, Quellos Group, Vulcan Ventures, and finally his own company as founder and chief Investment Officer at ThemaTal Capital Management, where he managed many high-net-worth clients' portfolios.

Tim is survived by his son, Bryce; parents Ed and Marcy Bowen; sisters Gina Bowen and Cheri Larson; and brother, Matt Bowen. Tim was also the proud uncle of eight nephews and nieces whom he loved very much.

It is an understatement to say that Tim will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held in Tim Bowen's honor. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, USO, the American Legion, DAV, PVA, or charity of your choice.

Tim will forever be in our hearts and memories. Rest in peace.
