Hearing examiner to consider new Planning Board member's permit

The City of Edmonds is recommending approval of a conditional-use permit for a new member of the Planning Board, Lauren Golembiewski. The City's hearing examiner will consider the approval 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9.

I think it is odd all of this wasn't assumed it would be needed when first large building was built? Why two stories? And can this be done without taking out all of the trees or even any of the trees. If you look to the N E now you see NO trees, now. SO ok but one story and retain most of those trees. I think most would prefer a neighborhood business that is more attractive and brings in retail but whatever. Why can't a place on HWY 99 be used for this type of not very nice looking items mentioned? I remember her saying that if she had known she would have considered building the last building on HWY 99?? Just my thoughts. Would be nice to beautify as the Mayor says our area and this is pretty industrial. Loud too I would imagine. Why can't these items be stored where our Public Utilities building that I hope we are improving, is located. It looks like there is outside space there. I guess we will see what the board decides.
