The Edmonds-Kingston ferry route remains on one-boat service as the Puyallup struck a log Friday night, Jan. 13, bending its propeller.

The ferry was taken out of service early Saturday morning, said Washington State Ferries spokesperson Hadley Romero.

"Crews believe this was very likely a log, as there is a great deal of driftwood in the water after recent high tides. With no service relief vessel currently available, the Edmonds/Kingston route is now operating on one-boat service with the Wenatchee until the Puyallup’s propeller is repaired."

Travelers should allow extra travel time due to the disruption and expect longer wait times.
