Ann Brown 1928-2022

Posted

In loving memory of E. Ann Brown, who passed away peacefully on May 6, 2022, with her family by her side. Born at Fort Benning, Georgia, in June of 1928, she grew up in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Seattle, then graduated from Roosevelt High School, where she met her husband, Bob. They were married for 67 years. She worked for the Edmonds School District in clerical support.

As a 50-year member of the Edmonds Methodist Church she made many friends. She volunteered at the church's food bank for nearly 30 years, sang in the choir, belonged to several women's groups and served as an event and committee organizer.

She and Bob had a vacation home on Camano Island and developed many friendships over happy hours and beach walks. Ann also enjoyed reading, cooking, camping, gardening, the outdoors and traveled over five continents with Bob.

The values and life lessons that she modeled over her lifetime will always be a part of us, along with her sense of humor. She is survived by her brother, Dick Paynter, and many nieces and nephews.

She is greatly missed by her children, Todd (and wife Candy), Robbin (Bob), and Nancy (Mark); her grandchildren Jill (Shelby), David (Claire), Sarah (Kyle), and Derrick (Adrianna); and her great-grandchildren Amelia, Abigail, Fredrick, Miles, and Eleanor.

A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, she had requested donations be made to the Edmonds Food Bank.
