Mother's Day | Editor's Note

I wasn't going to write a Mother's Day story. But this year was different.

It's hard to appreciate Mother's Day when you're a little kid. It's only as you age that, if you're lucky, you get to appreciate the love between a mother and her children. It's unconditional, yes, and one that endures in bad times, good times, and all the time in-between.

My mom was born overseas and grew up in England where I, along with my brother and sister, lived before the family moved to the U.S.
