'No camping' ordinance passes in Edmonds

Rep. Peterson: 'No longer the friendliest town on Puget Sound'

These two men, who frequently spent time in the Safeway shopping center on Highway 99 in Edmonds, gave their permission to use their images. "Our officers regularly offer resources or services in situations like this to the extent that they can," said Edmonds PD Sgt. Josh McClure. "No matter the outcome of the ordinance issue, we will continue to provide those first and as often as possible to those who are willing to accept them."

The Edmonds City Council on Tuesday passed the so-called "no camping" ordinance on a 5-2 vote, with Laura Johnson and Susan Paine voting no. Vivian Olson, Will Chen, Neil Tibbott, Kristiana Johnson, and Diane Buckshnis voted for it.
