Edmonds Lutheran Church set up an installation for the Week of Remembrance for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls on May 4 as part of an international movement called the Red Dress Project

As part of the Week of Remembrance for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, Edmonds Lutheran Church on May 4 set up an installation as part of an international movement called the Red Dress Project.

The movement aims to honor and remember the thousands of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls who have not been returned to their families and communities.

According to the Journal of Forensic and Legal Medicine, Indigenous women on reservations are murdered at a rate 10 times the national average.
