Free meals not available to all in 2022-23 school year

The Edmonds School District says its most frequently asked question is: Will meals remain free next school year?
The answer: No.
The district says it does not have funding to extend free meals for all students next school year as Federal USDA waivers that provided free breakfast and lunch to all students during the pandemic will expire June 30.
This means students who do not qualify for free or reduced-priced meals will need to pay for school breakfast and lunch beginning in September.
