If you're wondering if you're paying more in sales tax, the answer is: You are.
As the Beacon reported in December, the Snohomish County Council authorized using the authority granted in state law HB 1590 to increase the stock of affordable housing in Snohomish County.
Executive Dave Somers signed the ordinance, and Edmonds Mayor Mike Nelson has signaled his support.
The increase started last month, and is now 10.5%, an increase 0.1%. The current tax includes 6.5% for the state – that number remains the same – and 4% for Edmonds. It had been 3.9%.

Fine with me. That one is reasonable I think. But some of the new ones not too crazy about. But the sales tax is ok.
