Caddying leads to jackpot: 4-year scholarship

Zachary Frankenberg has been a golf caddy since the eighth grade. His hard work and love for the sport have paid off. Literally.

The Edmonds resident and senior at O'Dea High School in Seattle is one of more than 300 national recipients of the Western Golf Association's Chick Evans Scholarships. The scholarship is awarded to high-achieving golf caddies nationwide every year.

The Evans Scholarship is valued at more than $120,000 over four years, and will provide Frankenberg with both housing and tuition. He will be one of the 1,070 caddies currently enrolled at 21 universities on an Evans Sc...
