The female Earhart crc #22 was missing last year because she had a calf, but this year she has returned to Puget Sound.

Puget Sound Express, which operates out of Edmonds, is now publishing a weekly whale report.

"After two years of inconsistency, I am so excited to be bringing the weekly whale report back and share with you the current sightings we have had these last two weeks," said Sarah Hanke of Puget Sound Express.

Gray Whale Tours started March 5, and whales have been spotted every single day, Hanke said.

"One tour even had the excitement of viewing a transient group of orcas known as the T99 pod. Among them is a brand-new baby that was born this year and was seen swimming tightly next to mom."
