Entry artwork unveiled for Civic Park

Public meeting set for Clark Wiegman's design concept

Clark Wiegman's concept for the Sixth Avenue North entry to Civic Park.

Seattle artist Clark Wiegman unveiled his concept for the shelter area at the entry to the new park off Sixth Avenue North Feb. 24 during a City of Edmonds Arts Commission Zoom meeting.

A public hearing is scheduled 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, during the regular City Council Zoom meeting. The Arts Commission is expected to review the project March 7.

The new park design by Walker Macy will include Wiegman's design, budgeted at $90,000.

During the meeting, Wiegman said he read about Edmonds' history, met with locals, and walked around town.
