New apartments don't reflect desires of the public

My husband and I, Edmonds residents for the past six years, would like to go on record in opposition to approving the 24-unit apartment building scheduled to be constructed at 605/611 Main Street with only one parking stall per unit, as well as one now wending its way through the system that would appear on Dayton near the Frances Anderson Center.

These buildings in no way reflect the desires of Edmonds' population or its comprehensive plan.

I think we should have our parks and recreation as a separate agency from Human Resourses. I believe Human Resources should be a completely different program. I really do. They can communicate back and forth with issues on parking ADH and all of that of course. But there is too much combined here. Not angry just think this would be a better idea. I also want Verdant or the apparent holding zone for criminals on drugs out of Swedish Hospital. Its too much for them and the crime there is crazy. 216th and 76th every day. The hospital either doesn't have enough security or people are not realizing that we need beds we need emg rooms and we don't need gun fire and people being beat up right in front of the place. I say move Verdant out of there and to another place. They aren't safe here either and neither am I. So the less the better in that area. I hope this doesn't offend I just think it is a better idea...seeing what I am seeing on a daily basis.
