My mother-in-law, or M’la, as I call her, is a fan of giraffes. Giraffes are not the subject of an unhealthy obsession or anything – she has no sweaters with giraffes on them, no giraffe coffee mugs or figurine sets.
To her, a giraffe is a being worthy of attention, a curious and intriguing animal, a contradiction of gangly grace.
