It is interesting to pick something that we use as part of our daily lives and take a look at the impact of that use. The car tires that we all ride on need to be made, they wear out, and they need to be thrown away.

Well right now cars have tires. electric and hybrids too have tires. But I liked this article. I am sure it is true. I would think we will get that recycling going again soon. Rubber Wood is what many are buying now from Wayfair as one example. Solid hard woods are now very hard to find new without spending a small fortune. BUT we have warehouses full of beautiful Oak Cherry, Mahogany, Walnut and Pine. So if you are into repurposing I am... You young folks all folks go buy it and take it apart or saw off sections make it your own creation, save a rubber tree or any tree and have a life long piece of about what ever you want. I think doing an event next summer to create a whole new look for a piece would be a lot of fun and could really show some awesome creativity. Like all mixed media pieces do. Then we have re-treads... Those on tires are what you see all along the highways. I had one fly off a truck and hit my windshield and broke it... He didn't stop at all. So I chased him down.
