New councilmember should have input on budget | Letter to the Editor

If the City of Edmonds' budget is voted on and passed with current councilmembers on Nov. 16, as now scheduled, any move to reconsider it with the inputs of the new councilmember seated in Position 2 on Nov. 23 will be touted as a political move....

I totally agree. WE are trying to make a start not trying to live with what many consider mistakes...You are right a lame duck has nothing to lose. I am saying that. He wasn't even chosen to run again.. So why would his ideas be so awesome? I say they aren't they might some be very heart felt but totally impractical and not for the entire community by far. I again encourage council to say we are not ready to Dave and that is that. I think to get this across we may need to not have Luke voting. AFM is debatable too but I won't go there. Enough of that for now and I wish her well and better health.
