Madrona K-8 closes; 26 COVID cases in 10 days

Madrona K-8 students were kept out of school Tuesday, Oct. 19, after 26 students tested positive for COVID-19 cases, and the school was shut down. The Edmonds School District closed the school in consultation with the Snohomish County Health District.
Teachers and staff took the day to prepare for remote learning, which began Wednesday. Facilities staff cleaned the building. Teachers are instructing students virtually from their classrooms. There are about 90 employees at Madrona.

Wow, What a mess...I hope people think about this before going crazy during HALLOWEEN. As nice as it is for Edmonds to continue to try and keep children and adults happy and reduce their anxiety level, I really think we need to stop and now. There is no more time really without even more financial and heartbreaking deaths. I hope Edmonds will consider this...Wait at least until Thanksgiving to do really anything... Sorry. You all see it with your own eyes.
