Beacon journalists win six awards at WNPA conference

This photo of Edmonds Police Cpl. Ryan Speer listening to a Black Lives Matter marcher during the peaceful march on June 12, 2020, won Edmonds Beacon editor Brian Soergel second-place in B/W feature, portrait, or pictorial photo in the Washington Newspaper Publishers Association's 2021 Better Newspaper Contest.

Beacon Publishing took home six awards last week in the 2021 Better Newspaper Contest at the annual Washington Newspaper Publishers Association convention, which was held online.

Beacon Publishing owner/publisher Paul Archipley said the industry's recognition was well deserved.
