Potlatch Bistro: Do I have a point, or am I simply out to lunch?

I am not a fancy guy. When I had to take art appreciation in school, I barely passed. But am I the only person around here who's put off by the lack of any art or color whatsoever in the Potlatch Bistro restaurant in the new Edmonds Waterfront Center?

It seems to me that the restaurant's ambiance is rather stark and sterile, not unlike some large cafeteria or other institutional place to have a meal.
