The Taste: Pandemic, location hurt bottom line

Although the pandemic has seemingly left no local businesses unscathed, the nonprofit Edmonds Chamber of Commerce has certainly felt its share of pain.

Funds from the Taste – the chamber's biggest fund-raiser of the year – go toward free annual events such as An Edmonds Kind of 4th, the Classic Car Show, Halloween Trick or Treat, and the holiday tree lighting.

The Taste was canceled last year.

This year, it looked like the pandemic would cancel it for a second year. But a donation drive, "Be an Edmonds Kind of Hero," which pulled in more than $100,00 from community; a vote from council...

It was covid...thats why I didn't come. I really wanted to. Hopefully next year.
