3 finalists named for Edmonds police chief

Three candidates for the position of Edmonds police chief have been selected to move forward to the final steps in the selection process: current Acting Police Chief Michelle Bennett, Dante Orlandi, and Lawrence Hunter.

On the morning of Aug. 4, the mayor will meet individually with the three finalists. At noon, 1 and 2 p.m., the City Council will hold publicly accessible interviews via Zoom with each candidate.

At 5 p.m., the public is invited to a meet-and-greet with the candidates in the Plaza Room above the Edmonds Library, at 650 Main St.

For me it is Lawrence Hunter without a doubt. Fresh views, more than adequate experience and education. Not from Seattle. I am worried about that with Bennet, as I don't know her views as to what happened and was allowed and still is in Seattle WA. I wish I knew. I just don't know how to find out. Can you recommend an article where she discusses this? I would love to read it. Thanks Deb.
