Petanque back in action with Bastille Day tournament

Philippe Geraud on June 5 taking aim under terrible rainy conditions.

With all players vaccinated and COVID restrictions eased, Edmonds Petanque Club players have rolled back into action.

From April through May, doubles teams competed in the 8th annual EPC League that concluded June 5 with a one-day tournament. Philippe Geraud of Seattle and Edmonds' Tom Nunn finished at the top of the six-week League with a one-point lead over second-place finishers Michelle Martin from Edmonds and Jack McHenry of Richmond Beach.

The team of Greg Conyers from Poulsbo and John Hunt of Kirkland were only one further point behind in third place. With their win, Geraud and Nun...
