Edmonds musician turns to a protest song

Paul Cogley: 'I needed to do it, and it needed to be loud'

After releasing a CD of mostly melodic instrumental vocal tracks in 2020, Paul Cogley decided to go a bit off the rails. That would be his latest single, "Be Careful What You Tweet," which he describes as "a cathartic ode to the state of U.S. politics."

"Writing it has helped me get through this crazy time we are living in," said Cogley, an accomplished musician and ex-pat from the U.K. who records music from his home in Edmonds near Hutt Park. He's played in several bands in many genres, in England, Canada, and Australia, as well as the U.S.
